dirty and rundown inside, room stank!

With thw Wyndham name we thought it wuld be kept up and clean.
Everything in room was dirty the dresser looked about 40 years old with chips and missing pieces.
The bathroom was disquieting and extremely small. We wont be back

The "check-in" was very smooth and the attendant was very nice. After that, when we actually looked at the room, we were very disappointed. It was not "dirty" but very dated and not well kept. The sheets on the bed had holes in them and the bathroom was a mess - bathtub had MAJOR hard water stains and the entire area was unsatisfactory. There was a very pungent odor in the room - sort of a mix of cigarette smoke and mold. I must add that when we arrived there were some men outside drinking beer in the parking lot that made the area seem unsafe. The whole scene was not anywhere near the pictures on the internet and the whole place seemed very rundown. We went to dinner after checking in and decided to go to another hotel and cancel our room. Again, the attendant was very nice and asked why we were leaving and did not offer any resistance to our statements (as if he has heard those remarks before). No offer of a different room or anything. I don't think they will be giving me a refund because of the last minute cancellation but there was no way we felt comfortable staying there.

Tub had hair and soap scum...they came and did a few swipes to "clean" it. Floors and shower curtain dirty. Toilet seat coming off (but they noticed it when cleaning and supposedly fixed it but it was not fixed). Fan in bathroom ceiling hanging down. Hole in bathroom door. Sheets did not fit bedding. Only had thin blanket to cover with. Sheets and blankets were old and thin. Toilet nasty. Room dusty. Pool area needed pressure washing. Very noisy at night with people yelling and laughing right outside our room and at pool. The only 2 good things were AC and refrigerator worked well.
