The manager of the restaurant was a cool guy. I wanted something to eat, it was quite late, and he accommodated me nicely. I remember I had a Wiener schnitzel thing with potatoes, salad and a beer. Most satisfying. I appreciated his service and tipped him for going out of his way. It was cold in the room, and the staff said it was impossible to switch off the air conditioner. I asked how this could be, and the receptionist simply said there was nothing she could do. It was supposedly like that in every room. I was shocked, and all I could do was open the window to let the cold air out, bundle up and stay warm.

Beautiful hotel- super hard to find!

Posted 14 Jun 2019 on Hotels
First for the bad- it’s almost impossible to find, and there are no signs. You have to go up a narrow gravel trail with huge ruts that you think couldn’t possibly take you there. Google Maps can’t get you there. You can SEE IT, but you can’t figure out a way to get there. Once you find it, however, it’s beautiful and the spa was a nice touch. I was disappointed there were noisy kids in the pool, but oh well. The food in the restaurant onsite was delicious. Be warned, however- everything is CASH ONLY and there is no bank anywhere close.

Meh

The hotel is very attractive and clean. The room was quiet and nicely furnished. The only problem was the bed. It was the oldest most uncomfortable mattress I ever slept in. When I sat on it, I nearly sank to the floor. It was also the only hotel I ever stayed in that had a built-in strip club. So...take that as you will.

Great hotel. Quiet and cozy. Breakfast should have more choice, but ok.

I did not get the room I asked for. The room was cold. The sauna was closed.

Great hotel, bad location

Posted 6 Apr 2018 on Hotels
The hotel was new and had a bowling alley, dance club, a spa and a beautiful dining hall. The only negative was that it was not in walking distance of any other restaurants or shopping. A taxi is required to travel to any of these.

Good option in Uzhgorod

Posted 10 Aug 2016 on Hotels
This is a modern hotel with good service and friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean. There were no problems getting an extra bed for our three-year-old son. We also enjoyed the small swmming pool at the hotel. The hotel is situated very close to the Slovakian border, but quite a distance from the city centre in Uzhgorod. Taxis are very cheap, so this was not a major issue. But please note that there are no restaurants or shops close to the hotel. More effort could have been put into the breakfast.

Excellent Hotel

Excellent Hotel, Bad Location is a bad thing. Kinda out of the city. Great friendly staff. The restaurant food is amazing and cheep for north americans. Your money goes a long way. Rooms have little air conditioning. Lots of room in the room. Bathrooms are big. Bowling on site. Also a Strip joint in the basement. Can get loud outside once they close. Hotel can book you a city tour with guide and it is really cheap and they pick you up.
