Clean, smart, non-smoking room
Posted 29 Oct 2019 on HotelsRoom was nice, in a quite smart hotel. We initially had a smoking room but they changed us to a non-smoking room (with the help of Google translate) with no fuss at all, which was a very welcome surprise in China!

Staff is friendly, location is convenient but I would only rate this a One Star by US Standard. During our stay they were going through renovation, so construction material were strewn in public area, kind of unsightly. But worst of all, one day while we were away, they came in and rip off the in room A/C from the wall (see picture), leaving the desk under it dusty and they did not clean it up. Every day, we need to ask for toilet paper to be delivered. The housecleaning personnel did not check for it.

Posted 5 Oct 2018 on HotelsThe hotel location is in residential, quiet and many local eateries around. A 5 mins walk to the Xinjiang museum and the fashionable plaza. Room was good except I could smell cigarette smoke from previous stays.

Old hotel , Buffet breakfast started late 08:30

I am an American who reserved a room at the hotel after first calling to double check that foreigners could stay there. On the day I was supposed to check in, they called to say they had to suddenly cancel my reservation due to a government event, leaving me stranded in Xinjiang without accommodation (I was already an hour away from the hotel by train). The situation was clearly out of their hands, but one week later, I am still waiting for them to refund my payment, which I sent through Expedia when I made the booking. Very disappointing.

Overpriced
