This hotel is a very beautiful small palace and I can not complaint about how cozy, clean and nice it is. But I just say that the check in was rather strange. The lady that helped us, I believe the owner, asked if we wanted to pay cash as we checked in and we did. We asked for a receipt and she made all kind of excuses not to give us one. At the end, she just wrote down a note stating that we had paid for the room and although we asked for a stamp from the company, just to make it more oficial she said that they didn’t have one and just signed it. I have never seen anything like that and thought it was very, very odd. Instead of the room we had reserved we were put in an attic, nice, with a kitchenette and all but no windows, just a skylight. We only spent one night, very comfortably I must say. Also, there was not breakfast available, which supposedly came with the room. At the end we had breakfast just down the street at a cafe and had delicious chocolate and cafe with churros, which was probably much better anyways.

Charming place to stay in Ubeda

Posted 17 Oct 2014 on Hotels
Charming hotel in a small square close to many of the Renaissance buildings that Ubeda is famous for. The person who greeted us when we arrived was exrtemely helpful. She suggested the best places to eat and see. Breakfast was delightful.

Good location in town

Posted 19 May 2014
Pros: Really good breakfast and lovely courtyard
Cons: Replace glass toilet door with one that is not see through!
Location: Very close to historical area, all within walking distance. We arrived on Alsa bus from Granada and could walk from bus station to hotel easily.
Not quite convinced about the glass toilet door, should be replaced with a non see through door.

Rather odd Boutique hotel

Posted 13 Apr 2014
Pros: Convenient location, quiet
Cons: Better breakfast, and buffet style. Fix the damp issue & ban smoking entirely in the building.
Old building renovated into a Boutique hotel. The room we had (1.3) was damp....partially because the shower room was in the bedroom with a partial partition wall and no extraction but also the external walls felt damp. This was aground floor room and looking at the outside of the building it was clear that damp was rising through the stone wall. Bed was small and not especially comfortable. Public areas smelt of smoke - the owners clearly smoked in the building. Breakfast was poor, some bruised pieces of fruit, cold coffee and toast, served at the table rather pretentiously. Other rooms may be better than the one we had as one night stay guests.

Great little hotel with great atmosphere

Posted 21 Apr 2013
Pros: Atmosphere
Location: In the middle of town
Everything is superb. A small hotel run by very friendly people, very clean room and nice setting in a 16 century building but updated amenities.

La cama excelente y la ubicacion. Pero oyes la ducha de los vecinos como si estuvieras en tu habitacion.
