Clean rooms, warm. Friendly staff. 1sink for bathroom and kitchen not ideal. Breakfast menu to be submitted evening prior.

An older type establishment in need of refurbishing.
Had to shift rooms due to power outages in the original room.
Towels had bleach stains
Unsafe area and a car was broken into during the night
Not a place I would go back to.

This is the perfect accom for a flyfishing enthusiast. River at the door and coffee van out front (with the best coffee we had in NZ).
The room was clean and comfortable. Hot shower, parking near the unit and food on site. Free wifi.
Note - logging trucks do run along the main road and whilst loud it was not intrusive. Only things to improve this place would be better services for fly fishers (places to hang waders, dry boots etc) and a review of the menu and wine list.
A very pleasant few days.

Reasonably priced motel in a beautiful area. Not the most modern decoration, but efforts had been made to make it comfortable.

Quite spacious but needs some TLC...couches rather sad, noticeable stains on carpet.

The property was a good option for access to Tongariro. We chose this property over another because the website mentioned a hot tub however after booking/upon arrival found out the hot tub was broken. Maybe call ahead to find out for sure. Also the restaurant was booked out for the night we were there but they were able to accommodate us with room service before the group came in which was much appreciated. This property is beside the highway so you will hear road noise from large trucks, etc.
