Upon arrival, I was greeted by a staff member named Helen. She was pleasant to deal with. Prior to checking in, I had spoken to a staff member named Olivia over the phone twice and everything seemed to be going well. While in our room, we were informed by Helen that Olivia had booked another room for us and told us we could move. When asked if there was an extra charge, we were informed there wasn’t, thus we moved rooms. The room appeared clean and comfortable but there were a lot of bed bugs. We had streaks of blood where our legs were when we woke up from the bed bugs – we were really itchy when trying to go to bed. When we were checking out, we were surprised and informed that there was an extra charge due to the room change despite staff failing to inform us of this. The charge was almost 300 Samoan tala and when we told Olivia we should’ve been informed the night before and that this is staff’s mistake because they failed to provide us with this information the staff who made the change seemed dismissive and we still had to pay. Wouldn’t recommend if you want to sleep comfortably and to leave without paying extra charges without being told prior.

We loved the “open to the sky” shower with a big rain head fitting. The room was spacious with comfortable beds. The staff were amazing & really friendly and respectful. They use local produce really well. Wifi is complimentary in the Reception area but SAT20 per day otherwise. The pool area is beautiful and has its own “swimup” bar

Beautiful accomodation and the service was excellent. The staff always had a smile on like it was part of their uniform and ready to help attitude, they were such beautiful and amazing people. The buffet breakfast which was part of the package was for me very good and filling with all local and traditional dishes. The room we stayed in was good, the only downfall was no sugar and not enough coffee but that was not a issue.

The room was very nice and correctly priced for the level of finishes and decor. The lava rock outdoor shower worked well and was pleasant to use with by day or night. The stag were kk d and attentive. The only thing I object to is the additional charge for internet service for each day of my stay.

The resort is good value for money in terms of the accommodation. The restaurant food is expensive, but there are really no other options; in addition, the internet was not functioning during our stay of a week, but we bought an inexpensive Vodaphone SIM card at the nearby post office. The lush vegetation is wonderful on the island of Savai'i, but the best thing about our stay was the Samoan people, which includes the staff. People on the island are so friendly and helpful seemingly almost without exception. The staff of the Savaí were really helpful and friendly too. I would especially like to thank Joe for his friendly and helpful attitude toward us, which we greatly appreciated. What will remain uppermost in my mind is the friendly and engaging personalities of the Samoan people. This is th real strength of Samoa as a nation.
