But the bed......
Posted 21 May 2017 on HotelsTypical Japanese hotel, small but adequate. However, this hotel had the hardest bed I have experienced in Japan. Everything else was fine, but the bed.....ouch! Hotel was close to Hagorosan which we climbed the next day. Good restaraunts in the area, but the bed....... I asked the desk clerk (in Japanese) if all the beds were that hard as I rapped on the granite counter. Her response was yes, they were all the same, no matter the price of the room. In their defense, I did feel another bed as we were exiting and it felt a little softer, but not sure I will risk it again. Parking was great, but the bed...... We just want a clean place to lay our head, but we awoke anything but refreshed. Did I mention how bad the bed was........

I was only there for a night before traveling outside the city. This was just a bed to sleep in. The bed, I will say, was almost rock hard, but I do appreciate that. This is what, I think, the Japanese call a Business hotel. The room is TINY. To open a full suitcase, you have to put it on the bed and pack up the luggage before you go to bed. Like, I said, though, this was a roof over my head for a night; it was perfect for that. It is a ways from the train station and a taxi there was about $15, which I wasn't super pleased with, but oh well.

Quiet stay

Jリーグサッカーの後宿泊しました。大浴場で汗を流し、翌日の朝バイキングは美味しさ満点です。是非庄内方面にお越しの際はお勧めいたします。
