If you are tired of corporate "nice"--if you are tired of giving your money to companies who overcharge you and then hire pretty much anyone to staff their hotels--you will LOVE the Desert View Inn. Decision makes are on site. They are genuinely dog friendly and people-friendly, too. My room was spotless, and the view from the hill was spectacular. Everything worked--everything, TV, microwave, refrigerator, lights--they even had real coffee cups to go with the convenient coffee maker. There are tables chairs, trees, flowers outside where people can sit out and enjoy the mountains and the night air. The motel is close to many popular local venues. The room rate is very reasonable. This place is a gem! Thank you to the staff for being so genuine, so kind, so efficient. No corporate QM plan will ever compete with what you have going.

No saftety private secondary lock on the inside of the door for security reasons

The staff was super kind and helpful. The room was clean and the air conditioner was great. The hotel was really old and it's age showed although it had been refurbished. It did the job.

Very cool innkeepers and a nice stay! My only recommendations would be a vending machine for soda/water and a hairdryer in the room would have been nice. If there was one and I missed it, my apologies!

I wasn't expecting an older strip wall setup. The bed was a bit uncomfortable for me (but not my wife). The friendliness and accessibility of the very competent property managers completely made up for any disappointment I may have felt. They were great.
