Good hotel for a couple of experienced travellers

Pros: Set in a beautiful building.
Clean and well furnished room.
Cons: Distance from the Plaza Mayor with steep climb.
Location: Behind walls in old town but steep walk to access it.
Need to speak some Spanish to enjoy the area
All excellent. Village was very quiet and there did not seem to be a bar or restaurant active in the hotel but there were some in the Plaza Mayor (10 minutes walk).
Very steep and hilly access to hotel so some warning may be necessary for those with mobility problems.
Overall a great success.

Nice place, access is an issue...

Hard to get to though - prepare your maps in advance very carefully (800 year old cobble stone paths on the side of a hill turned into one way streets.) Lots of great dining options just a few steps away. The location is right amidst the ruins of Castle Trujillo, and there seem to be some private properties mixed in with the ruins, monuments, and hotels and restaraunts. A truly unique place. Highly recomended.

Posted 24 Jun 2010 on RatesToGoLocated in a magic spot in the heart of Trujillo old town. Rooms all themed and tastefully furnished. Our 'Mexican' room was a bit dark. However you don't spend most of your time in the room. There is some noise transmission between rooms.
The dining area and food were excellent. Service was good although English is only partly understood.

A hotel with a lot of character
Posted 8 May 2010 on HotelClubA hotel with a lot of character in the historic section of an old town! Parking can be a problem and the drive through the narrow alleys requires a steady hand! Beware: the directions one finds on Google maps are not accurate.
Staff at the hotel is very helpful and friendly. We could have easily stayed another night had our schedule allowed it.

Buena ubicación, servicio regular, dos estrellas, no tiene desayuno. Si solo buscan algo para dormir, está ok
