The issue I had was the smell. Whatever was used to clean was incredibly strong - enough to give me a headache. I was there 2 nights and aired my room well but the smell remained throughout my whole stay.

We try and sanitise every possible surface in the room for a hygenic stay with recommended cleaning liquids for hospitality industry which may not have suited you. City Gardens is an older style motel. That said, our room had everything we like: lots of space, comfortable beds & chairs & a large ensuite. Everything was clean & fragrant. Best of all, the hosts were friendly & obliging. (A special shout-out to Ranjana for her prompt resolution of an issue at check-in. Much appreciated.) We'd happily stay again. :)

I was unfortunately disappointed with my recent stay at this motel.
There was no lock on my window. It was noisy, from both traffic and neighbouring rooms.
I had a shower in the evening and there was zero hot water. I wouldn't stay here again.

Apologies for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, the hot water system failed in the evening yesterday. We got it rectified immediately by organising the plumber after hours. Regarding the road noise, we would hope guests to check the map location prior to booking. We checked the window lock of the room and its working perfectly. We provide a comfortable accommodation at a very resonable price to our guests. We wish you good luck in finding one at similar price.

Absolute value for money. The property is very close to A1 and Coles, and the property managers were super-friendly, and supportive. The facilities were good, if you keep in mind that this is a motel, and not a five-star hotel. I'd definitely stay here again, if I'm travelling to Gippsland.

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. The slope of the shower floor was dangerous even when using the non slip mat and the pipes made loud hammering and squealing noizes which disturbed the next-door occupants
