One broken coat hanger
Posted 5 May 2016
Pros: Location, garden, Maria the helpful staff member.
Cons: Attitude of the management to the comfort of guests.
Location: Trani is fantastically beautiful and there are great restaurants, Corteinfiore being the best. Crosta has great pizza in a modern, funky atmosphere.
Though close to the sea and set in a beautiful Mediterranean garden, this holiday apartment and off-season b and b was a profound disappointment. Although there were few guests we were given a room above the plant room where we were woken several times by gurgling and vibrations from below. Sleep was difficult anyway because of the rock hard bed and we couldn't hang our clothes for a four day stay because of the lack of coat hangers. The next nights we moved onto a sofa bed in the kitchen-dining room, which shows how bad it was. Staff were unhelpful re luggage, coat hangers and local restaurants and one morning the breakfast consisted of a couple of stale croissants to the mortification of the poor lady on duty that day who improved things thereafter. All in all this was a potentially great place ruined by lack of attention to details.

Pros: Everything
In quiet neighborhood with easy access to shopping and proximity to historic center of Trani.
Easy access to SS16 and less than a half hour from Bari airport.
Beautiful gardens surround the Colanna.

Very nice hotel in a quiet suburb of Trani
Posted 11 Nov 2015 on HotelsThe hotel is a quite new property set in a very pretty garden and seems well-designed. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Apartment in nice residential area.
Posted 24 Sep 2014We only stayed one night. So we did not have time to take advantage of the facilities. Lots of room for two people in the apartment. Rooms were clean and well maintained.
Location is nice; two blocks from seafront bike path and pedestrian promenade. Easy bike ride to port and cathedral.

A different sort of hotel - worth a visit
Posted 20 Jun 2014
Pros: Fabulous setting - clean and modern.
Cons: Breakfast - very sparse offerings and the first hotel where we weren't offered fruit!
Location: A little far out - but use your legs or car and you'll be fine
Set in beautiful grounds this modern hotel offers studio type apartments. It's great to be able to sit somewhere separate to the bedroom. It's clean and pleasant and all that one could want. It is a bit of a walk into town - and better to drive but you can't have everything.

Not a Hotel
Posted 26 May 2014 on HotelsWhen booking this accommodation (for 3 nights) I had not realised that this was not a hotel, but basically self-catering on a bed & breakfast basis. Therefore, there was no restaurant, but breakfast was provided in a bar area near reception, and the room was serviced each day. The accommodation units are located in beautifully landscaped gardens and we had our own parking spot (behind glass doors!) close to the room, at additional cost. The accommodation comprised a kitchen/lounge area, and a separate bedroom, and separate bathroom. The unit's refrigerator was not working, the lighting in the lounge area was poor, and the shower had no soap dish. The only TV was in the bedroom. Breakfast was adequate but not special, although the location for it was very pleasant. There was a supermarket nearby, so it was possible to buy food there for consumption in the unit, but there was no crockery or cutlery, however it was possible to borrow some. There was a hob to cook on, but no microwave. So, not a hotel, but not self-catering as Brits would recognise it. We found the change from the normal hotel type of accommodation on our exploration of this part of Italy made for a pleasant interlude. And, the refrigerator was fixed (but the bulb did not survive long) and a standard lamp was provided by one of the three very helpful girls we encountered in reception/breakfast.

Great Accommodation just off promenade
Posted 10 Sep 2013 on HotelsLarge clean apartment style accommodation practically on the sea front. Sanday beach just around the corner. Lovely 20 minute stroll along the promenade into the port town which itself is lovely.

Tolle Unterkunft, gute Anbindung in Strandnähe und Laufweite zum Zentrum, auch für Selbstverpfleger.
Umfangreiches, individuelles Frühstück.
