Hotel is rather old and not well maintained. Water flask is dirty and had black particles. Hotel is backward and there is no wifi. But it gives an interesting experience of traditional Japanese living. Dinner provided is quite good but breakfast is simple.

Decent one-night stay at Lake Toya.
Posted 16 Jun 2019 on HotelsHotel staff were friendly but sometimes not readily available. Comforter had a few stains on them but the beds were mostly comfortable. Place felt slightly run down, but hotel had a very good location. Overall adequate for a one-night stay.

We really enjoyed staying here, although the property is old but room is big and the staff I dealt with was excellent and have a good understanding of English and we can communicate well. Also we were impressed by the dinner provided, it was decent homecooked styled dinner box. It's located close to the river and we can use opposite hotel's onsen which over looks the river.

The hotel is clean but quite rundown. Old building. But consider value for money with breakfast and dinner inclusive. Breakfast choice was poor but dinner serving was good. I won't book the same hotel if I were to return to Lake Toya... sorry

Enjoyable stay
Posted 10 Nov 2018 on HotelsThe reception staff can't speak English but made the best effort to help us understand during check-in. We were lucky to have a Chinese speaking service staff during dinner.
