I love Hotel Allen but feel it is desperately in need of money being spent on it ie new paint, refurbishment etc. When it rained the window leaked on to the single bed in my room so I'm happy there was nobody sleeping in that bed. But otherwise it was quiet, clean, excellent location, enjoyed swimming in the pool. If I had the money I'd buy it myself, sitting on a gold mine in the location etc

Great location. Unable to lock window on arrival but it was fixed later in the day after we advised. While clean it could do with some paint and freshening up. Dinner meal was nice but they forgot to put in a few listed ingredients. We felt comfortable enough staying here for the price we paid.

The property needs severe renovations absolutely disgusting room with plaster ofc the walls above skirting boards due to dampness coming through the wall from the bathroom.
Mould on the bzthroom ceiling and mould on the bottom of the shower curtin.
No internet available to guests, no sdvice given that the entry at nigth is in the street around the corner.... worst place I have ever stayed in... discusting room would not pass a health inspection, exhaust fan in bathroom not working but sign on mirror in bathroom requests that guests close bathroom door and use exhaust fan because the steam WILL set off the smoke detector... unbelievable.

I was there for 5 nights. I found the staff to be quite friendly. Overall, I was happy with my stay. My only gripe is the cleanliness. There was hair all over the floor and toilet lid (I’m bald so I know it wasn’t mine!), and when I spoke to ‘housekeeping’ they directed me to the vacuum cleaner for me to clean it up. I just didn’t think I should have to do that considering I was the guest and I didn’t just pay for 1 night.
