Fantastic stay

Absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Gorgeous mountains in the background.

Great spot on the drive home from Costa del Sol.
Posted 1 Mar 2023 on HotelsThe reception was was a warm welcome, and the room delightful (although no view). Everything was spotlessly clean and the bedding and linen spotless and of the highest quality. The evening food was delicious but beware, the restaurant does not open until 8:00pm. Breakfast was good and all staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay again.

The exterior of the building is impressive, the drive up a bit scary but ok if you don’t meet another car. A traffic light system would work here.
The inside was dark and a bit on the cold and gloomy side but it was very cold outside So maybe that was the reason.
The rooms were very clean but the furniture heavy and uncomfortable and noisy when moved.
There is very little soundproofing between rooms so you here conversations and unhappy children. We also found the beds too firm for us but that’s a personal preference. Our balcony never got the sun but the other wing of the paradore did so maybe ask for those rooms.
The food was ok but nothing more. There seems to be a distinct lack of vegetables but don’t know if that is a Spanish thing.
The paradore overlooks the town and if you are fit then walking up and down is ok. Anyone with health problems would need to take the car.
Tere who did the housekeeping of our room was a delight and made our visit. She went off to get me cups of camomile tea when I was ill. The lack of tea and coffee facilities in the room was a problem.
Patricia in the bar and breakfast room was friendly and helpful too.
