Beautiful property, nice rooms. Service was disappointing/unresponsive. Room was very hot, no climate control.

Beautiful, charming chateaux. Friendly, accommodating people working there. We've been to Normandy twice and stayed at this chateaux twice. Would recommend it to anyone.

Our 6 night stay was below expectations.
First, several weeks before arrival we requested a first floor room because one of us is handicapped. We were assigned a 2nd floor room accessed up a poorly lit stone spiral stairs with a rope hand rail that was loosely attached and dangerous even to persons with out a handicap.
The room was spacious and nice. The seats and bed however were so low that getting up from a lying/seated position was difficult especially for a handicapped person.
The bath room, particularly the tub/shower was awful. There were no saftey grips or handles and two sides of the tub merged into the wall eleminating a potential grip for interning/exiting. The hand held shower head did not have a wall mount and there were places on the wall where mounts had apparently pulled out. As a consequence my wife was unable to bath for the 6 days of our stay.
I might add that the tap in the bidet leaked 24hrs a day (it was noticed by the attendant on check-in with indications it would be fixed) creating an annoyance.
At 129 euros a day it was a RIP off and we can't reccomend this Rogue to anyone.

Granddaughter 's first trip to France.
Posted 23 Jun 2018 on HotelsWe chose this chateau because the St-Lo area is close to the DDay beaches & Mont-St-Michel. We had our granddaughter with us. It was her first trip to France & We wanted her to see more than just Paris. GPS was unreliable so had to stop for directions a couple of times. Chateau & grounds are beautiful. Our triple room was spacious although new mattresses are needed. Bathroom adequate, good shower. No air conditioning here but wasn't needed. Room had a musty smell though. Proprietor spoke very little English. Breakfast not very good. Overall experience was positive.
