"I stayed at the Sahara in Las Vegas and was disappointed from the moment I walked in. As soon as you step into the hotel, the cigarette smell is extremely strong and hard to ignore. The room itself was average at best, nothing impressive. The gym was the biggest letdown: very old equipment, ripped bench, unclean floors, and overall poorly maintained. Definitely not what you expect from a major hotel on the Strip. To make things worse, I was surprised with a $124 resort fee. This feels like price gouging, especially since it wasn’t clearly disclosed. I’ll be raising a complaint with Expedia because customers should be fully informed before booking. Overall, not a great experience and I wouldn’t stay here again."

"got the run of house one bed & bathroom and it was good for what i paid for. very confusing when finding where to check in but the staff was helpful even with how late i got there. i kept getting shocked everytime i used the elevator which was annoying but the area wasn’t bad and getting food was easy"

"Should have stayed at past hotels. Every time we requested extra day, supplies… always “done” but never happened. Had to make numerous trips to the desk. Added a day due to airline delay on the phone in the morning, went to pool to relax. Come down and key not working. Then the rate jumps. But that’s the scam. Pay silly resort fees for what? Pool closed most of the time. Pay to park at the property we are in. I assure you my 11 million followers will be advised to stay away. Pay the extra money at most any other hotels where they’ll save money! Do Vegas sometimes 6 times a year and I’ve never seen such horrible fees and poor service. Of course I consider Sahara lower end but this is Motel 6 class hotel aside the pool area and your over priced tower that cost money to spend money. Not saying the hotel is in poor condition but it isn’t in any condition to have the fees that come with the stay. Never again. Arrived and the room I reserved and paid for not available. Downgrade but oh, no refund or any compensation for the inconvenience. Never again! "

"The place is next to Fremont Street where all the actions are. The hotel is clean, room spacious and functional. There was a mini fridge but no microwave. There was a machine by front desk to do self check in. It was easy. Parking is free valet. No bteakfast but has lots of restaurants walking distance. We were disappointed that no coffee maker in the room."

"The El Cortez is absolutely the best place to stay in Vegas. The staff is amazing, the location cannot be beat, and the prices are good. The absolute only thing I can complain about is the resort fees, but that is what it is. Even with those, the El Cortez is my place to stay, and I have already stayed there three separate times in the last 5 months for 5-7 nights each. "
