We stayed in a really nice room, which was the newer part of the hotel. Denny’s was right next-door so you can go there anytime which was very convenient. The bus system runs all the time so that was convenient to get anywhere we needed during the day the maid was supposed to bring us Coffie for a second night, but she never brought it so that was kind of a bummer other than that we had a great stay. Everything went well. No issues to report.

The room was one of the newer ones which we were very appreciative for the staff was really helpful. Only thing is we needed coffee for our second night and the maids never brought it to us. Other than that we had a really nice stay!

The STRAT’s upgrades are great so it made it a fun stay. Some downsides that made it not the best stay were the issues with the room. The first room smelled like sewage as soon as you opened the door. It was too potent and inhabitable. I realized that in certain areas throughout the hotel, the sewage smell was stronger than others. The second room did not have a smell however, the water in the shower & sink did not drain which made showering and using the sink a larger task than it needed to be, given than no one wants to stand in a pool of their shower water or have rings around the sink from the water not draining appropriately. If the room situation was better, it would’ve made the stay significantly better. Outside of that, the housekeeping staff was extremely nice, helpful & accommodating and the bar staff was so kind and provided recommendations about anything and everything that we could ask about Vegas.

I will say it’s not the cleanest place. There were stains on my sheets, my sink was clogged and the bathroom light didn’t work. The hotel staff were lovely, and very helpful. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel personally. There’s limited food options and family friendly things to do. It is a decent spot from the strip. Only a $10.00 uber. 3/10. Wouldn’t come back.

The Strat is a clean, well maintained property at budget price compared to other properties on the strip. If you are on the fence about renting a car while you are in Vegas, the Strat may be a good offering. The bus from airport drops off and picks up a quarter block from the Strat. Downtown is a 15 minute walk away, same for most other resorts on Strip. One bonus is when you are off strip, you can buy a 24 hour bus pass for $5.00. That allows you access to all buses, including the deuce. Makes jumping around the strip, downtown and outlet malls super easy and without the $20 per hour parking nonsense.

I know this is not everybody’s first choice, but I actually really enjoy the Strat and this is not the first time I’ve stayed there. I know it’s away from the strip, which is exactly what I wanted. I just wanted to lay next to a nice pool in the sunshine all my days off and that is exactly what I did and no regrets.

All of the staff were polite and helpful. Room was clean but you can tell this is an older property by the condition of the fixtures in the bathroom etc. It is a smoke free accommodation but was obvious that not everyone adheres to that rule. The diner in the hotel was good but expect to pay more than normal, just like everything else in the area. The pool was nice and clean. It is located at the very end of the strip so it is a bit more of a walk to the center of things. There were quite a few “locals” lingering along the sidewalks between the Strat and the Sahara which made it a bit too sketchy of a walk at night for my family and I, but there are many ride share options and a free shuttle during certain hours. Overall it was a nice stay.
