Overall not a great experience. When ee arrived the restuarant was given to a function and we had to eat in a small place. The staffing was inadequate. I had to request for an extra bed 3 times and finaly go to the reception to ask and wait and get it. Not properly managed. Food waa average. Overll not worth the cost.

There is not a lot of choice in Tanjore and this is probably the best of a poor bunch.Staff try hard. restauant is well below parr.Location is good and parking on site

The property was at par with any hotels in the US. They had a good spread of Indian and continental breakfast options for the breakfast buffet. The hotel was clean, well maintained.

Check-in was super-efficient and in-room dining was good too. Breakfast was filling and nicely prepared. Dinner selection with phulka and yellow lentil was tasty. Check out took a bit of time as people were jumping queues. Memorable stay at Hotel Sangham, Thanjavur.

The room allotted for us was not smelling good. Kind of old smoking room feeling. Front desk showed alternate room which was good but only having twin bed.

Shocking experience.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel and overall it was a very negative experience. On check in our room was dirty as the bathroom had not been cleaned properly. Everything about the hotel is extremely dated, in need of repair and the property desperately needs a complete makeover. We were unfortunately involved in an incident whilst staying there whereby a fellow guest launched a completely unprovoked verbal assault upon us, I shall not repeat the names we were called but it was an extremely upsetting experience. I reported this immediately to the management of the hotel who told me that the guest in question was a regular and long staying guest which as far as any civilised person would be concerned is absolutely irrelevant. They stated that they would speak to the assailant and come right back to me. I waited for 12 hours for a response from the general manager during which time all of my calls to him were ignored. Eventually he stated that the guest had admitted the assault but offered no genuine apology or any form of a gesture to put this matter right. I had to argue with him before he very reluctantly agreed to waive the charges for dinner I had taken in the hotel. I travel extensively and spend more than 200 nights each year in hotels. I have never in my life come across such an incompetent and ineffective hotel management team in my life. These people are concerned only with money and know absolutely nothing about hospitality or good customer service. Avoid this hotel.
