"This was my first stay at the Hotel Emporio and must admit that I chose it because my usual hotel near the Zona Rosa was full. I stayed once on Paseo de la Reforma some years ago and found it too noisy. It was not the case this trip; the hotel is situated in a quieter zone and separated from noisy traffic. It is nevertheless a convenient location with MetroBus lines 1 and 7 about one block away. As for the property, it is a beautifully maintained building with much of the original décor intact. It has been updated, of course, with nice plumbing fixtures, air conditioning, WiFi, new beds. The personnel are super with special kudos to housekeeping."

"Conveniently across Terminal 1 of the AICM airport by a skywalk. Even if it rains, you don’t get wet. There is also a subway station within walking distance through the airport. The hotel is a bit dated, but they keep it extremely clean and the staff is very helpful. I will stay there again."
