Only marked down on condition due to the property closing mid jan 2023 for 9 month refurb. Definitely looked tired and in need of upgrade. But this didn't detract from our enjoyable stay in clean comfortable freindly hotel in perfect location

Location & friendly staff, the hotel was spotless but in need of a refurb which I think is on the cards

Nice pool but closed 2 days out of our4day stay. Room key stopped working every day so trip to reception which was a pain as quite slow at reception and we heard other people talking about this so this must be a problem Rooms are so dated they defo need a revamp Hotel in nice area and close to beach are a plus overall ok probably wouldn’t stay there again

I am really sorry to know that so many aspects of our facilities and service have been below your expectations.Room keys can be quite sensitive to proximity with other cards, mobile phones, etc. it does not always happen, luckily, but sometimes some devices tend to demagnetise them.We were forced to close our pool for a few hours due to guests getting sick in them. As I am sure you understand, safety goes first so the water must be filtered before allowing guests to use the pool again after this type of incidents. Hotel Mediterranean Palace will be refurbished during 2023. I am sure you will love the new layout of our rooms.We hope to welcome you back again then.Best regards,

My stay here was HORRIBLE! It was the WORST experience I have had in a hotel in my 30 years of travelling. I have stayed in multiple hotels and this, by far, was the worst. to make matters worse, it was my 7year old daughters first time on holiday w/ me. Most of the staff, with the exception of 1 or 2, were unfriendly, unhelpful and uncooperative! The most traumatising part of the trip was an incident in which my daughter and I, along with my friend and niece, was at the hotel swimming pool, at one point my friend and I were in the pool getting to the deeper end when I turned to look at my daughter she had started travelling to the deeper end as well, I shouted at her to return to the shallow end at which point I saw her slip and she started drowning. I screamed at the top of my lungs for someone to help she's drowning! no one moved a muscle. Everyone, continued to lay back in their seats including the hotel life guard at the scene! I eventually got to her in time thankfully, and carried her out. she was coughing up water from her lungs and throwing up! it was then, I saw the life guard WALKING towards us. my friend told him off and asked why were you not doing more? I took my daughter to her room, and made a complaint to the staff about the life guard and was told both by him and the staff member that it is the parents job to watch their children, not them. which I agree, however, it is the Lifeguard job to save people in accidents, which he is TRAINED to do. he did not.

Thank you for your comments. I must admit that I am totally astonished at the unfortunate manipulation of the facts that you have posted. Let me start clarifying that you stayed in our hotel only one night, but we all remember the unfortunate incident happened in our hotel pool soon after you checked in. I would like to inform you that various cameras recorded the incident, and records clearly show how you turned your back on your 7 year old daughter to take a selfie while you were both inside the pool. Your daughter walked deeper without you noticing, loosing contact with the floor. Our lifeguard noticed the situation even before you did, and he approached both of you from the other side of the pool the fastest way, which was walking and not swimming ( please bear in mind that it is a 1000 m3 pool), arriving only 6 seconds after yourself. Luckily your daughter was fine, although of course very scared. As you were leaving the pool, other guests who witnessed the situation rebuked you for your lack of attention to your daughter and that same night you asked to check out, which you did the next morning. We are really sorry about this unfortunate incident but, as you were informed, parents must take care of their children at all times, even when there is a lifeguard present. Our task is to ensure everyones safety, but we cannot be held responsible for your lack of attention to your daughter. Our Lifeguard is trained to save lives, but his task is not to watch over children while their parents look away.We are sorry that your short experience with us has been so negative, but we are certain that our Lifeguard acted accordingly to the seriousness of the situation and luckily nothing regrettable happened.Regards,
