This is a very odd motel that seems to work mostly with the coach trade. Bus loads of tourist arrived each night and were rushed out after eating a horrible, mostly cold breakfast (that includes the hot items) in the morning. I can’t recommend it. The sofa was located underneath the tv facing the beds! The beds faced the tv. There was a kettle and toaster, but no plates or cutlery. You get the idea.

The Village Inn Hotel is well located and offers an adequate living option. Staff are good and very accomodating.

Great little hotel well situated in Te Anau to walk to town and access tours
Staff on check in/out very courteous and helpful

We stayed 2 nights. The place was sufficient for our purposes. Unfortunately we were in the room up front and near road. The tour bus drivers apparently use this hotel too because they would fire up the busses at 7:30. Not a deal breaker but if we stayed again we would request room in back of property

The property was in a good location and was a good value. The property is a bit dated but was one of the most affordable accommodations in the town.
