Great friendly hotel

Posted 7 Jun 2017
Great location near Old Tbilisi. The staff are super helpful nothing is too much effort. The breakfast was Georgian. It was fresh and lovely. The lady that worked in the kitchen kept it spotless and so friendly. The room was spacious and very clean. Nothing was to much effort for the staff of this lovely hotel. It would definitely recommend it. Thanks Armazi hotel we had a great visit.

Nice balcony with a bunch of plants

Posted 19 Jun 2016 on Hotels
The place is nice. We booked the deluxe room, which had a really fascinating view from the balcony. The breakfast was delicious and we liked the staff in general. We stayed for two days only, so speaking based on my experience, I would definitely recommend the hotel for the short stays.

Nice hotel, at the heart of old Tbilisi

Posted 7 Sep 2015
Hotel has good location, 15 minutes walk to old Tbilisi. My room had a nice view from the balcony. Hotel staff are helpful and very politepolite. I arrived earlier than it was supposed to, they offered me cup of tea/coffee. Everything was great, only WiFi works poorely on the 4 the floor.

Major disappointment

Posted 3 Nov 2013
Pros: Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, bathrooms clean and welcoming.
Cons: Internet connection. Breakfests. The attitude, manners and language skills of the staff.
Location: Very close to the metro station. Walking distance to the cathedral and the presidential palace. Short stroll to the river and the old town.
Despite having big Visa/Mastercard logo on the doors and the card terminal in perfect working order the reception demanded cash payment. The breakfest is pathetic - no fresh fruits, no juice, very little choice, no milk for coffee (only in tiny packages). The hotel is located in very noisy neighbourhood, so we were keep awake by partying neighbours (also late returning hotel guests). The reception staff is lacking manners and attitude. Also they did not have maps of Tbilisi available for the guests. One night the reception was looking for an owner of a car that needed to be moved to make possible other car's exit - and they were phoning all the rooms at random to locate the driver. The internet connection was poor (on the verge of nonexisting) in the room originally allocated to us, so they offered to move us to another room, which was closer to the access point. After two nights, however, they demanded that we change room again, explaining that they "forgot" of another booking. They claimed that the internet was fixed which was not true. Other than that the hotel has very clean and modern rooms, the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms welcoming. Also the location is convenient for most of the city attractions.

A nice thrifty hotel

Posted 26 Mar 2013
Pros: The hotel is located on a quiet street and has a helpful, friendly staff. They will make you Turkish coffee if you don't care for instant.
Cons: Minimal breakfast (medium boiled eggs, bread, sausage, cheese), but the khachapuri isterrific. No elevator, but staff took care of my suitcase.
Location: Located a short walk from the beautiful Old Town and the Metekhi Bridge--a gorgeous area.
The Armazi Palace is a nice, no-frills hotel with hot water, clean bedding, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was nicely tiled and had a shower that worked well. The hotel, in Avlabari, is a 10-minute walk above the Old Town and located a few minutes away from produce sellers and small markets that offer a good range of foodstuffs. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rusiko personally walked me to the nearby market to help me buy some fruit and to show me where the small grocery stores were located. When I asked for a teapot, the staff provided their electric tea kettle and tea bags. They were always quick to offer coffee or tea, gratis, if I was waiting in the lobby. And they were happy to store my luggage when I checked out, as I was not leaving until the evening. The walls of the rooms are thin, however, and the night a large group showed up in the wee hours, it was impossible to get to sleep. But the staff took my complaint seriously and made sure all guests afterwards were aware that they should keep noise to a minimum in the evenings. It was perfectly quiet in the nighttime afterwards. The TV channel offers only one English language news channel. The free WiFi, however, will let you use your computer to stream news and other programming with no interruption. A VPN will allow you to stream programs from the United States. Breakfast is minimal but features khachpuri--the wonderful Georgian cheese pie. Large mini-bar selection. I had a lovely stay.
