My first time at a Holiday Inn Express & was very impressed! Beats Premiere Inn & Travel Lodge on price, quality of room/bedding, & breakfast also included. Will visit again.

First time at the Holiday Inn Express having had a bad experience with Premier Inn, and I was impressed. Well presented, good staff and well maintained. Breakfast was also good. Will try this brand again for sure. Nick B

Dog friendly. Wish we'd been told on arrival that there was no food available that evening, and that the Harvester next door accepted dogs in the bar area where food was available. We were told that dogs were not allowed in there, so we ordered a takeaway which took 2 hours to come.

The hotel itself was very easy to get to and the welcome was lovely and genuine. We had requested a groud floor room due to medical issues. The room was lovely but unfortunately the cups and spoons .were sticky and had coffee stains on them so we had to rewash them. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast wasnt very good the fresh orange juice wasn't juice, it was squash. The scrambled eggs were cold, the bacon was very fatty and again cold. The butter for the bread was cold and solid so ripped the bread unless you had it on toast. Outside the hotel are pillars covered in dog urine, running across the pathway. I get that dogs are part of a family but why let them urinate by the main entrance to the hotel ?
