Beautiful old hotel (family owned for 200 years, the man said). My only complaint is that it was very noisy at night due to nearby businesses working all night and rooms were not soundproofed. Otherwise, a great stay! The man recommended a local place with kebabs and Turkish pizza that was AMAZING.

Unexpected gem

Beautiful Historic Inn in Tarsus "Old City"
Posted 2 Sep 2018 on HotelsThis hotel is a historic ottoman building that has been lovingly renovated and is furnished classically. We had no idea that it was such a beautiful property when we booked it. We booked it because of its' location near the birth home (exposed
archeological remains) & well of the apostle Paul for photos for a website. This area is one of the few areas we've seen in Turkey that has old stone buildings that have not been torn down. It is beautiful. We imagine it is an ideal place for people going on pilgrimage to stay, (Has steep stairs, & no elevator.)
