This was my first time staying at Don Fernando. The helpfulness of all the staff was greatly appreciated. Also, the knowledge of places to go to enhance our stay was very valuable.

The property was nice but a bit dated. We were given a suite that was handicapped available which was nice and large. However, the room smelled and our guess was the carpet. It probably needs to be replaced or deep cleaned. This was not reported to the front desk as we're sure they know about it because house clean keeping has to be in there every day. They listed the rooms as being ready at 4:00 p.m. for check-in however we ended up waiting until 6:30 before we could get into the room but they compensated us with $30 of breakfast vouchers. The food we had was eclectic and a bit overpriced which is to be expected from Hilton. We had four of the breakfast wraps with the potatoes and it came out to $64 plus tax. They were simple spinach wraps with egg and southwestern sauce and green chili. They were not very appetizing. And if it wasn't for the fact that we were going for a morning raft trip we would not have eaten as much of them as we did. So I do not recommend the breakfast wrap. All of the staff was very pleasant and polite and would go out of their way for you.
