on going power cuts and no generator in hotel. I can probably do without light for a while but no electricity meant no running water in the bathroom
Air conditioning unit under-powered even though room was small.
Bathroom was spacious but
Breakfast options limited (fruit/fruit juice not included)
Food tasted good
Beach is beautiful in the picture but rocks as you enter the water makes it difficult (at high tide ok). Very long beach but difficult to walk (sand not so compacted and still at crush coral/shell phase)
Staff unfriendly
Booked for 10 days and stayed only 2

Sumba is absolute paradise off the beaten track unexplored. Just wish this hotel had better WiFi

Set on a beautiful beach with vast ocean views from each room, this is a gem of a small hotel. Staff are warm and professional; the rooms are simple (no phones, basic but ample amenities) but well laid out; the pool area (overlooking the ocean) is ample; the ocean views from each room and from the open air restaurant are gorgeous. It's a 30 minute drive back into town, and there are no nearby restaurants. But those seeking an exceptional ocean-view experience will find it all here.
