A good hotel. A good room but it was small with NO enough space to place a full size language. The area is awesome and very convenient area for walking and shopping in general.

The staff at this hotel were phenomenal. They were always pleasant and helpful.
Rafa & Katie went above and beyond to assist with a last minute luggage repair necessity.
The room was neat design/decor.
Breakfast was perfect assortment of local and western selections.
The location is right next to a night market but there was no loud noise or reason to be concerned with the proximity.
There is a taxi stand and public transit busses & trains at the nearest intersection, Ximen Station.
I was wanting to explore so I casually walked ~20 minutes from the Taipei Main Station to Ximen, which was easy, even with luggage.
Taipei & the Westgate hotel are super foreigner friendly.

Nice hotel. Room had an unpleasant odor. The carpet probably needs a good shampoo. Otherwise pleasant stay. Used the gym and laundry which was nice. Breakfast was fine.

Stayed in the deluxe room, which, unfortunately, felt a bit small for two people, making it challenging to open two luggages comfortably. Despite this, the room was clean with good amenities.
The hotel's prime location, a short walk from Exit 6 of Ximen Station, is a major plus, as Ximending, with its vibrant atmosphere and numerous entertainment and dining options, is right downstairs. The staff's politeness and the thoughtful provision of umbrellas for guests during rain were appreciated.
On the flip side, there is no on-site parking, and the rooms' soundproofing leaves something to be desired. Morning noise from housekeeping, especially during their training sessions, was a bit disruptive. Additionally, the fire drill alarm at around 10am seemed untimely for guests still sleeping.
Despite these minor inconveniences, the hotel redeemed itself with a good selection for breakfast. Overall, a vibrant location with cozy quarters, suitable for those who prioritize location and convenience.

Self access laundry with free detergent from the front desk was very nice. The bed and room was very comfortable and having a smart TV was a good addition.
