it was noisy outside. the swimming pool were occupied by outsiders - not hotel guests

During the check-in I asked for parking options. Reception proposed own parking. On the question: can I park outside the Feedback was: it is public parking but at weekends for free. Three hours later I had a ticket as parking in front of the hotel is NOT allowed (stopping for checkin is possible). I asked three times for hotel manager - not available. Novotel staff always told me the same: parking at weekends possible. I cannot believe that people working in a hotel do not know parking rules in front of the hotel entrance. When trying to complain the feedback was: this is public parking and not their problem. If reception tells me that I can park there, I see responsibility with the hotel. A hotel should train their staff in a question which is raised by every guest with a car. A very unpleasant experience.

The property itself was very nice. Pool, sauna, and jacuzzi well maintained and enjoyable. We had a street facing room and the traffic noise was fairly loud. That is my only complaint. I’m sure a room away from the street would be quieter.

There was very strong horrible smell in all three rooms we tried at the hotel. The smell seemed to come out of the air condition and smelled like pesticides or drug. Rooms where badly cleaned, spots missed on many places on carpet, leftover food in mini fridge, male underwear in top shelf in wardrobe etc. There was no sheet on bed matress only sheet on the matress cover. The room had no brochures and no do not disturb sign and house keeping entered whenever they pleased while we slept. Other staff was pleasant and manager professional when we complained about smell and asked for a new room. But they could not provide room without the smell. The swimming pool area is the only reason you should choose this hotel but if you are expecting a 4 star hotel experience this is not the place for you. Avoid second floor.

Great facilities, friendly staff, well kept gym and pool, breakfast selection was fantastic. Hotel in a good location too with everything within walking distance.

Novotel Szczecin

Staff were very helpful, place was clean and tidy, breakfast was good. The only downside was my room was on the front of the hotel and there was quite a lot of noise from the Trams
