Lots of drugs, rude staff, building is old so you can hear everything, I checked in then went right back out to check out.

Value for Money in Great Location
Posted 26 Aug 2019 on HotelsI'd recommend staying at Zing Backpackers as we found the price very reasonable for Sydney, liked the little touches like a kettle in the room, plates & cutlery etc..
Minutes from Kings Cross with excellent transport links into the city centre & beyond
Breakfast being provided as well was appreciated.
Wi-fi isn't strong in the room but that's the only negative thing I'd critique. We've had a very enjoyable stay.

One receptionist was a little scary.

Posted 19 Nov 2018 on HotelsService was very good, staff were accommodating and very helpful, especially Andre. Breakfast consisting of unlimited bread, cereals, spread, milk, coffee, was good enough considering the cheap cost per person. The hostel was close to a lot of eateries, and mall. It was a few meters away from Kings Cross train station, thus very accessible to tourist spots like Opera House, Darling Harbour, etc.
However, it could improve on sleeping comfort if the rooms without aircon will have screen windows so guests can open the window instead of turning on the fan which is rather noisy. And, the hotel mgt. should also control guests from staying out of their rooms and conversing at the common area which is near the guests rooms. Their conversations distract sleeping guests whose rooms are near the common area.

Old run down hostal. Toilets are nasty and unclean. Some of the people staying here are crazy party goers; they have been staying in this hostal Zing/oringal for months and and they defintely are the long terms tenant there, so all they know and want to do is party. If you are assigned to room up with one of these people, you are out of luck because they don’t sleep at night and constantly going in and out of the room and making noises, so you wouldn’t be able to sleep either. As mentioned above, toilets are filthy, people vomit everywhere in the bathroom after they came back from the party.
