After calling to confirm our two queen bed room for late arrival, when we arrived we were told there were no queen beds and we were given a room with a king size bed and a sleeper sofa. With the sofa extended, the four of us were stepping over each other to get to the bathroom, and one person wound up sleeping on the floor. Staff was very friendly, but the accommodations were not what we booked.

Pleasant surprise
Posted 9 Feb 2024 on HotelsHad several motel choices in Sweetwater but this was only one with a wheelchair accessible room available.
Check in was smooth and fast. Gracie at the desk advising that there will be spaghetti and meatballs soon followed by hot cookies!!! We passed on the pasta and went out to eat. When we returned there were hot cookies as advertised!!!! That was a very nice touch. Breakfast great too. Good assortment of choices and quality better than most motel breakfasts.
Our room was great too. I just wonder why motels choose to put the wheelchair accessible rooms on upper floors when the elevators will not work if there were a fire. Just an observation. The room was accessible....kind of, The coffeepot was too high on a shelf to reach sitting in a wheelchair. The shower bench was the best I've ever seen in a motel. Sturdy and secure. I will make it a point to stay here when I'm passing through Sweetwater and will look to use Microtel in other cities when I travel.
