Not a '10' except in Base 5 systems.

OK, so I read the past reviews of this property (only 2, but both were positive with high ratings.) We usually like to try different places in the Thai countryside, but this place definitely changed our minds, and we'll stick with our favorite, The Slive, as it's not much more, always great and has one of the best breakfast offerings anywhere. When we arrived at about 9:30PM, the reception/office was cluttered and messy, so I didn't go in, instead I waited outside. My Thai GF did go in and she came out holding her nose as apparently they had many dirty plates that had food, and didn't obviously clean up. A bad sign, as when we went up to the room, it was dirty, smelled awful, with so many bugs and mosquitoes. The bed looked awful and the pillows appeared thin and uninviting. The appearance of the room was very bad, and though we had requested a "quiet" area, there was loud talking and some music nearby. Needless to say, I immediately booked the Slive for that night and we packed up and left, telling the woman at the front desk that we couldn't bring ourselves to stay there one minute longer.

Firstly, the smelled awful food because we'd just finished our dinner. Secondly, the thin pillow maybe a personal feeling which we can understand. It is standard pillow. If you need a thicker and softer one, we can provide it for you. Thirdly, the music came from the restaurant nearby which normally finishes about 11 p.m. The day that you checked in, the restaurant had a party event. This reservation had many mistakes which cause you couldn’t stay with us. So we are pleased to allow The Expedia to refund your money. Please accept our sincere apology once again. We will solve these problems for a better service next time. We are looking forward to serving you again next time.

Very friendly manager quick check in and out. Large spacious bedroom with fridge and bottled water. Free wifi and parking. Close to some nice restaurants with great views.
