I actually stayed at this particular Hilton several times when I have came to Suffolk, Va. Staff has always been polite and attentive, however I wish there was a better policy in place for a general cleaning of the room? Unlike the many Hotels I have stayed the Hilton doesn’t provide a daily cleaning service which is an inconvenience when I return to my room, however the Hilton Front Desk employee did offer me new towels but that offer came by request. As a guest I believe a policy of introduction should be put in place that explains to ALL guests what to expect, I feel it’s unfair for a guest to find out that their request has been denied without being informed prior? In addition I have been very generous with my tips to the Hotel Maids but how would a guests know where to leave a tip if there is no information provided concerning Maid Tipping?

We only stayed one night. Bed was comfortable and everything pretty clean.

I liked that the property was in a nice location. I didn't like they did not have free breakfast, pool was disgusting, cobwebs in room, i requested joint rooms but ended up on 2 different floors, and it was a roach in the bathroom.

The check in staff was amazing and courteous, as was the manager however the cleaning staff were beyond rude. We didnt ask for housekeeping because we had our dog with us however we received nothing but dirty looks every single time we would go to use the elevator. Half of the outlets in our room were non-functioning which was inconvenient and the outdoor area could use a good clean. Cigarette butts everywhere as well as trash. We ended up leaving a day early, not the hotels fault but we had a group of children running up and down the halls which caused our dog to bark and harass our neighbors. Overall 5/10 experience.

Melva checked us in and was very professional and friendly. The bathroom was clean. Common areas were fine. The room was icky- big streaks on the wall everywhere. They are remodeling, but our assigned room shouldn’t be in use until it’s repainted at the very least. We really don’t mind out dated and scratched furniture- which is a good thing because that’s what we got. The filthy streaked walls were gross. The air conditioner “popped” all night. We appreciated the kind staff but highly cannot recommend due to lack of upkeep.
