Have to check in at the different hotel a mile away. At check in, the clerk gave me a piece of paper with the entry codes. He put down the same code for the front door and the room and told me specifically, to use the same code for the 2 doors. Drove to our hotel and could not open the front door. Called the hotel and was told the front door and the room have different codes and she gave me the right code. Their staff needs to be better trained.

The hotel is run like an annexe to the Windsor Hotel and ha s no reception staff.

We want travelers to get the most out of their vacation, so we eliminated the front desk and implemented keyless, digital self-check-in/check-out with 24/7 concierge support. We are forthcoming and do not hide the fact of this unique style of property. As you can see from other traveler reviews, this certainly isn't the usual experience our guests enjoy when staying with us, who appreciate and understand the accommodation and self-check-in concept. Contrary to your comment about not having reception staff, we have a 24/7 front desk at our sister property which is located a short couple of minutes away. Our front desk team also provides courtesy calls once you check in to ensure you are enjoying your stay with us. Despite the information on the website and Expedia (under Self-check-in instructions advising guests "no front desk at this property", it appears you booked our property anyway and therefore, I fail to realize how this warrants a negative review.We aim to offer a different experience by providing a more independent stay with all the modern amenities our guests may need. We understand this may not correspond with everyone's preferences and does not align with the traditional hotel experience that you were seeking. If this type of accommodation did not appeal to you, I wonder why you booked with us and not another accommodation option or our sister hotel that might have been better suited to your needs. Again, our hotel is a very unique, special experience, but it may not be for everyone, particularly travelers who seek traditional hotel accommodation with a front desk. It is unfortunate, that you felt the need to leave a 2-star review due to the misunderstanding of our self-check-in operations. However, we do hope you were able to enjoy the other goods and services we had to offer, housekeeping services, Nespresso coffee, freshly baked breakfast, clean room, snacks, water, and soft drinks, and of course our excellent location and more.We did hope we have the pleasure to welcome you back, perhaps at our sister property The Windsor Hotel. This property is in a perfect location. The staff were wonderful. The space is quaint and charming. There was some cigaret smell.

The bed had a broken spring and the coffee maker did not work. The staff I spoke too took the coffee maker to 'fix' it and returned it after we had left for the day. He agree the bed was broken, but management denied this,as there were lots of empty rooms the smart thing would have been to replace the coffee maker and bed or move us, apparently the management is not very smart.

The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to shops, restaurants, theaters and water activities. The rooms are clean, unique and beautifully decorated and provide everything you could possibly need. All that is nice but without good service and friendly staff it means nothing and the staff and the service they provide is exceptional. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with them and will definitely be returning.

Air-conditioning was very noisy, the fridge was also noisy. Not enough water pressure in the shower

A quirky little building located in the heart of downtown Stratford. Walkable to all the downtown restaurants and shops and a doable walk to the Festival Theatre. No staff onsite which took some getting used to but service was excellent: all questions answered promptly. A bit of a noisy road but they provide earplugs (!) We found running the fan provided all the white noise we needed to sleep soundly. Recommended.
