Lovely location, friendly folk
Posted 17 Feb 2024 on HotelsPeople there were just so friendly. The food was good, and the breakfasts simply stonking. Beautifully located opposite the church, and it was a delight to hear the bells being rung on the Sunday morning.
I would have liked to have brought my dogs - and they are allowed in the bar - but not in the bedrooms, so i made other arrangements. The advertising needs to make this clearer.
Do the bedroom windows open? I didnt quite have the strength to do it.

Posted 16 Feb 2024 on HotelsThe WiFi is non existent that made it extremely difficult to carry out work on my laptop in the evenings… the hotel don’t offer food on a Monday and Tuesday night that was disappointing and if I known that I wouldn’t have booked it. I complained about my shower as the water pressure and temperature was very poor. I was in the superior room number 1 and the music and noise from the bar was rather annoying and it the music and bar was open past 11pm every night.
Over all I doubt I would stay at the location again. For the price paid I had a lot higher expectations!!

Good morning, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel, I'm sorry to read there were a few things that you were not happy about. The water pressure - we offer raindrop showers, they aren't power showers that we are mostly used to at home and in many hotels. We also state the restaurant is not open on Monday and Tuesday in all of our correspondence that comes out automatically, our food offering has been the same for a very long time, apologies that you may have missed this, we do recommend local venues that serve food and we hope you enjoyed them. We always aim for the venue to be closed by 11pm, having looked back on the cameras, I can see that Monday the lights were off by 11:15 and Tuesday respectively by 11:30, which does give our team time to clean down after the customers have left. If you would join us again and would like to stay in the same style of room, Room 9 is at the far end if the restaurant and would be much quieter earlier than Room1, and we can always try and ensure you have this room. Again, I'm very sorry to read that we weren't fully up to expectations, but I do hope you will give us another go and see that we can be better as standard.

Posted 21 Jan 2024 on HotelsStunning location , easily accessible from the m1. Striking building with quirky coves and corridors. Staff are exceptionally friendly and polite food delicious , lovely bar area. Rooms are lovely and cosy and again some really quirky additions with the old fashioned phone. Nice touch. Highly recommend to everyone . We will certainly return.

Once again we are sorry for this, there was nothing we could do about it. We have now had the problem resolved and the internet is fully operational again. Kind regards
