On the whole the property was functionally good. However the room whilst not dirty, had cobwebs and could have done with a dusting. We had a family gathering one evening the food was really average. The price of the drinks was in my opinion too high, £20 for two glasses of wine was in my view a little steep. Overall whilst I obtained what I thought was a good rate via Expedia, the two nights stay did not warrant the cost. I would search wider for value for money before choosing to stay there again.

We have now thoroughly deep cleaned this bedroom to ensure this does not happen again. Although we do keep all of our prices competitive for the area, a significant increase in the National Living Wage and a substantial increase in our Business Rates, on top of a period of already well-documented cost pressures and inflation, has unfortunately resulted in a slight price increase on some of our products, such as wine. However, we are always happy to tell you the price of any product that we sell before you choose to purchase it. Excellent service and good quality food and ales warm and friendly staff nothing was too much trouble would definitely stay again
