Its a place to stay when you have an early flight the next morning. Small rooms. Dinner was tiny and no variety but no options in area. Breakfast was good.

Great stay at excellent location for airport
Posted 15 Jan 2024 on HotelsExcellent location for the airport and with pretty view of the lake. We stayed in family room (3 adults) at start and end of holiday driving to Sweden. Breakfast was excellent - lots of variety and quantity. Only complaint is the bathroom/wet room was so hot and there didn't appear to be a way of adjusting the temperature.
I didn't particularly enjoy the automated system to check-in or the hologram lady who made me jump every time when she greeted anyone who walked by! Maybe it's me being 'old school' but I prefer a human!

A scoop for the price!
Posted 5 Sep 2023 on Hotels Clean and nice hotel. A scoop for the price. The restaurant is the best in Trondheim area. The chef is a genius. Dinner and breakfast are much better here than on all the other more expensive hotels in the area.

Lovely location on the fjord. Walkable to a nice beach and shops/restaurants.
Very clean and felt safe. Breakfast was lovely with restaurant overlooking the fjord. Rooms basic and probably not suitable for longer stays.
One big issue is the car park goes right up to the hotel windows. The main entrance is also right next to rooms. There is also a sitting/smoking area at the front of the hotel, again next to rooms. This meant that the noise of cars/taxis/people/motorbikes was really, really bad! My apple watch recorded I was woken 9 times in one night. Taxis we’re right next to our window, picking people up for the airport at all hours. Ask for a room on a higher floor or at the back and you should be fine!
The rooms also didn’t have air con. The walls seem to have insulated panels which is great for Norway winters but not great when its 20 degrees outside and you can’t open the windows for traffic noise.

Really relaxing hotel. Exceptional staff. Nice area easy to find. Lovely view of bay and airport. Nice food, bit overpriced buffet but normal in Norway I’m finding

Good, but expensive for what you get
Posted 8 Jul 2023 on HotelsThe room and hotel were very clean and modern. Self-checkin was easy and when we did talk to staff they were very helpful.
However, the room was very small and hot. It is an airport hotel without free transportation to the airport, you must book a taxi.
It felt like a budget hotel with a regular hotel price tag.

The property contains the world airport however it’s definitely not next to the airport. It cost me an extra 40$ just to pay a taxi back and forth to the airport. It would have been more convenient to stay at the Radison and more cost effective. Food options are very limited so don’t expect to have a meal for dinner.
