Disappointing Stay
Posted 18 Jan 2024 on HotelsVery dissappointed with overall look of room. Absolutely no soft furnishings or pictures on the wall. I would describe the room as "stark" . Heated towel rail did not work. Carpet out side of room heavily stained.
It was explained that the hotel was under new management and that not all rooms had been fully refurbished. Therefore this expensive room should have been let a discounted rate.
Staff were pleasent enough.

One night in Stamford.
Posted 5 Nov 2023 on HotelsI had a lovely night in the hotel; the staff were excellent, and the drinks prices were very reasonable. It is just a short walk to get to the town centre. I didn't try any food, but what I did see coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. I was in an attic room which was very cosy, the heating worked well. I would definitely stay here again.
