"Amazing location, on the shower box there was no place to put anything. ( soap for example ) the elevators most of the time very crowded. I got an early check in. But when it was check in time. It had huge lines, TV remote wasn’t working properly. Only turnê on and off. Couldn’t change channel, breakfast was good. But always the same thing. Best part is location."

There was a minor issue during our stay, but what really impressed us was how quickly and professionally the hotel handled it. The staff responded immediately and resolved the matter in a very satisfactory manner. Their prompt and attentive approach made a real difference and showed how much they care about their guests. "We have stayed several times at the Mitre. Very old building - rooms are very small. But there is an elevator! Which is the slowest one on the planet. There is hot tea in reception and the breakfast hasn't changed in several years. Note to American travelers - washcloths are not provided in most European countries. Bring your own. The Mitre is about 10 minute walk to Paddington train station. The owners are very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel."

"On arrival met by very friendly staff. Went straight to my room (6th floor- no lift) on arrival nice large room basic furniture and a sink A double bed (requested) and a single. Shower and toilet same floor couple Mt's away. Comfy bed. I didn't have breakfast on offer till 9am. Great location...quite....and very good value for money!! I will be back and will request lower floor!"
