Loved the roof terrace and mosaics and staff were super helpful and friendly. Twin room was very basic but beds were clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend:-)

I had a little less privacy because the beds were very close to each other.

I wanted to like the hostel--the staff and guests are very nice, but it is very misleading to say that there is AC when it is only turned on after 10 pm at night. It was over 100 degrees for two of the days I stayed, and was sweltering in the hostel. And there is no ceiling fan in the room I was in... The lack of amenities and poor location (about a 20 minute walk and up a hill from the town center and the nearest buses) make this a poor choice.

Hi , thank you for reaching out , the AC in the hostel comes on with a timer automatically , we do have private room with Ac plus remote so it can be used on demand , however this comes at a higher rate . The hostel also has fans everywhere so we cannot understand what you mean with no fan ?
Also you travelled at a time during which period the Island is having a heat wave and we do have days were temperatures rise up to 40 deg Hostel Malti has the sea just down the road from it plus a jacuzzi on its roof top ample choices to cool down and relax !

Stayed in this hostel for a week. Overall very satisfied with cleanliness and everything. The hostel is at an excellent location, easily approachable with public transport.
Big shout out to staff member Eszter who was very friendly and helpful.

Lovely little hostel, nice, clean, cheap and in a great location too. Staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome, especially Eszter who looked after us throughout our stay, she was a fantastic host! Overall, we had a great time and I'd highly recommend hostel Malti to anyone staying in Malta.

Darren did a great job making me feel comfortable and welcome.
Highly recommend the hostel due to the excellent staff and friendly laid back atmosphere. Not a party hostel but has a nice rooftop chill area, kitchen, lounge and clean spacious bathrooms.
