Very nice inn; falls short as a hotel

The staff, while very nice and helpful, are not available much of the time, the location is somewhat far from the city center and there is no bus service, only taxis which do not operate all the time…I felt the place is truly an inn—mostly a bar/limited restaurant with some nice rooms to let…For guests with their own cars, I’m sure it is far more satisfactory.

Never recommending
Posted 19 Jun 2023 on HotelsThe place was ok and manager Chris was nice to you. Sadly they have taken payment twice out of my bank and I have been trying for a week to get this refunded. Every time I ring Chris she says that she will deal with it straight away and will phone back but never does. I will never stay here again and now sadly will not be recommending

Excellent stay at The Dunoon.
Posted 17 May 2023 on HotelsI loved my stay here, the location is lovely, surrounded by countryside, the room very comfortable and clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing, especially the Sunday carvery! I will definitely stay at The Dunoon again and highly recommend it.

Posting and confirmation both said that hotel was located in Truro, but it’s actually in St Ives, 30+ minutes away!!
