My car auto locked by accident with my iPhone and my baby locked inside in 100 degree temperatures outside. Fearing for my baby’s safety I ran inside to ask the front desk to call my husband immediately. The woman at the front desk could not have been less helpful or less interested. I asked her to please call my husband or help me figure out how to use the house phone to call my husband so he could rush down and open the door. Instead of helping me, she proceeded to check someone into their room as I’m standing there in a panic. Thankfully my husband showed up within a couple minutes and opened the door. When I confronted the employee, she said “she was checking in another guest” and therefore couldn’t do more to help me. Sorry but helping someone in a situation like that should always take priority over checking someone into their room. The rest of our experience went fine but clearly some people shouldn’t be in a client / guest facing role. This experience left a very bad taste in my mouth for rest of our stay.

Parisa,I am glad to read that your child was able to be removed from the car a few minutes later with the return of your husband. Understandably, this sort of event is very distressing and will cause a great deal of anxiety. Seconds will feel like hours. We have reviewed with the clerk your comments and also her response to the matter. How she could have responded differently in words and actions have been reviewed. At no time did she mean for you to feel that she was not taking your need for help seriously and is sorry for how her actions came across.
