Loved the view, convenience to City center, cleanliness, didn't like no double lock on door, no bathroom products, no coffee for coffee maker. Very bare minimum amenities.

For the price is very nice! The place is clean (I checked also under the bed), the air smells of new and the apartment where I was is modern. I experienced quiet time, on a comfortable bad, and there are a lot of useful tools, like an night number of laundry machines and a the kitchen with accessories. The position also was super. Maybe the only thing I can say could still be improved a bit was that the room was empty, with only bed, light, and a hanger for the clothes.. some little accessories more could improve the experience.

I am not happy overall because things were not done properly from the beginning. At arrival in St Gallen I was informed that they had a problem with our accommodation and they had solved it temporarily. Then, I was to get an email with the exact way to get into the property. It took a while to get the email. We got it after the check in time. It was a cold afternoon in Switzerland and we did not know what to do or where the entrance to the place was. After getting the information, we realized the place was very hard to get to by car. No parking and on top of a hill. We had to pull heavy luggage's 2 kids and 1 adult. The other adult had to stay with the car. After reaching the entry of the building, we got the keys and realized there was also NO elevator and we had to lift heavy luggage's to the 3rd floor. The other adult had to go around the block a few times to find parking. The first two nights were ok. The owner came to fix the couch for the kids to sleep in. He left and said he had fixed it. When we tried to open it, we couldn't do so and the couch had metal bars sticking out (I wasn't going to let my kids sleep like that because they could get hurt). We told the owner that we couldn't stay there in those conditions. He came personally at 11 pm threatening to kick us out. We simply wanted to leave and get a reimbursement for the nights that we were unable to be there. No response. He doesn't think this entire ordeal was unacceptable. We want money back for 3 nights.

I have mixed feelings about my stay at Touchbed. Overall, it was average, but there were some things that quite annoyed me. I got a mail from them with instructions how to get my key the very last minute before I was supposed to check in. I was on foot with a large suitcase and the place is difficult to reach from the station cause it is uphill. So, if you do not own a car and you have luggage, good luck with that! There is no lift inside so you carry you luggage on your own. There is no one there to help, so if your room is on the fourth floor, like mine, good luck with that again! The room was very clean and warm but had a distinct smell of cooked oil, which I found very annoying...they warn clients that there is a fine of 500chf (!) if they smoke in the room but it is ok when they cook and the room smells like a kitchen...the same goes to the fridge which had a heavy smell of salami! I do not know why I was not given a room with a view of the beautiful city since the place seemed ro be practically empty... wonderful view is what they promise, I did not see it because I was viven a room at the back! All in all, I will choose a different place next time...

In your case, the access data was sent before 02:00 pm (check-in is generally possible from 02:00 pm - but can also be later). You have been allocated a room at the back of the building (facing the slope) as you have booked this category. If you had wanted a room with a view of the old town, you would have had to book the "Superior Studio" category or, if you had wanted a room on the ground floor to avoid having to climb stairs, the "Deluxe Studio" category. There is a lot to love about this property - modern, clean, near waterfall and hill train, and spacious. We stayed in the loft and the hot tub with the background sound of the waterfall was exceptional. However, we found it a bit tricky to locate the building and going up a steep hill with your luggage was not fun. It was walkable to the town shops and restaurants. I would have liked to have stayed longer and I would definitely stay there again (with less luggage).
