Beautiful location

Beautiful town. Lovely breakfast overlooking sea view. Nice and quiet bedroom, room was a bit small and bathroom wasn't the best i.e. weak shower. Friendly staff. Great atomosphere in the pub below.

Hidden Gem

Posted 9 Dec 2016 on Hotels
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were fabulous - nothing was too much trouble. we were able to have our 2 x small dogs with us at all times which we have never experienced before. The bed and breakfast was excellent, also the meals within the hotel were also of a very high standard. For the 1st time ever - we never left the hotel at all apart from dog walks. We generally just use hotels as bases - this hotel we never left because we had no need to do so. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Interesting change

Posted 28 Nov 2016
My family had been very excited about our mini break however unfortunately the hotel has found its niche in dog friendly rough edges. On the surface all seems great but for a family the meal offerings are limited in terms of when and what you may have. Luckily other venues in the village serve food all day and are not overrun with dogs full of the joys from their beach experience. Breakfast was first class however and an annex room assisted in our feeling of ever increasing them and us attitude. Both attempts at staff integration were met with eye rolling behind our backs and no solution for food from between lunch and a rather late 6pm.

Characterful, with lovely staff and local beer

Posted 18 Nov 2016 on Hotels
The pub is in a wonderful location, has its own microbrewery attached, and is perfect for a cosy winter get-away. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff so obliging, knowledgeable and helpful. Whilst the rooms and décor are a bit tired, it all goes with the nature of a building which is a few hundred years old now. Whilst we were there the seasonal bistro was closed, but the local theatre company used the room for a production, which meant we had built in entertainment. The play was sold out but they very kindly squeezed us in, which they didn't have to do, and the quality of the acting was really very, very good. The food in the pub was excellent, and good value, especially an offer they had on. In particular I had one fish dish which was the best I'd had in a long time. We'd definitely go again.

Forgettable

Posted 31 Oct 2016
Pros: Can't remember this BnB but it must have been okay. I was unwell so I think I just booked in and went to bed, didn't even sample the food.
Cons: I can't comment as I don't remember. I am sure it is a good hotel and so I cannot say anything bad about this hotel
Location: I did go sightseeing at some stage and it was in a good locality but that is all I remember

Excellent stay in the annex, very comfortable and great WiFi. The only issue I had was that the carpets smelt terribly of dog odour otherwise happy! Great access to the beach and st Agnes village.
