It was about a ten minute downhill walk to the property from the train station. (Just remember that the return trip is uphill!) The room and property seemed new and very clean. It was easy to enjoy the breakfast, which was extensive and delicious (get there early because food was not readily replenished). They did not offer access to the city pass, which would have enabled one to freely use local transit.

Near the Lake and Castle with Free Parking
Posted 7 Nov 2023 on HotelsChose this hotel because I could confirm on-site parking. The small parking structure is shared with the hotel next door, but when I went in November there was plenty of space even though the hotel was very full.
There are different room sizes. I took a small one which was available. Clean and cozy if you are just there to sleep. Breakfast was good, but not all of it was put out before I left.
Other reviews complained about no air conditioning in the summer & beds are soft. There is heat in the winter! The bed was soft, so that might be a problem depending on your needs, but I did not have an issue with it.

Location and staff were fine. Room was incredibly small and uncomfortable, there was no air conditioning, no safe, and no way to turn on the bathroom light with all lights in the room. Poor design.

Dear Thank you very much for your feedback. Please book directly with us next time so that we can inform you about our room categories and make you feel more comfortable. Switzerland has a rather moderate climate and there are only a few days per year with very hot temperatures. For this reason, it would be too much of maintenance to install air conditioning for so few days. However, we have ventilators at reception which we provide free of charge to our guests, but we charge a deposit which we return when the ventilators are given back at check-out. Please come directly to reception next time so we can help you with the light switches. We would be happy to welcome you again.

Only one washer and it’s hard to get it. A lot of noises of kids running around.

A terrible hostile hotel
Posted 1 Aug 2023 on HotelsThere was a random wall between the room, the toilet has no door, all the walls were built with grey bricks and the floor had no carpet. It felt like I was living in a prison inside.

I warned the hotel in advance about the late check-in. but upon arrival at the hotel the door was closed and we had to wait. We called the number on the door but no one answered. We had to wait a long time outside to be let into the hotel.

Our person in charge at night constantly checks the safety of our guests and cleans the common areas. Therefore he is not permanently at the reception and it can take a little longer until the doors are opened because the house is very spacious.
