Southampton is a busy city with a mix of huge modern buildings and some historic houses within the old fortified city stone walls. The Pig in the Wall restaurant is trendy and good with a vintage decor. Excellent cheese toasties!

Although it's changed over the last few years, like most city centres, it's still a nice area to visit. We went to the Solent sky museum which is great, if you like aeroplanes!

Southampton has so much history - Shame such an old historic town/city is looking so tired and scruffy the old areas could certainly benefit from a spruce up

Very interesting mix of modern and historic, with lots of helpful signage. We visited the Solent air museum, which is a little gem! The only reason we marked average for area around the property was due to ongoing building works.

"Lovely space for our overnight stay with 2 kids and 2 adults. The ladder to kids bed is steep but they quickly figured it out! Excellent customer service and breakfast!"
"The staff was incredibly helpful from beginning to end. Forgot to bring my adapters for US to UK, they loaned me one to recharge my phone etc for my stay. We arrived a few hours prior to check in time and were allowed to rest in spa area. We were provided free shuttle to cruise terminal. Our accommodation was excellent. Would stay again."
