Right on the beach, heated pools, tons of space (we had an ocean view room with a loft that sleeps 4 plus a pull out for 2 more). Within minutes drive to many restaurants. Sink, microwave and sink came very handy.

Very disappointed with our stay. We were supposed to have a room with ocean view but even if we could actually see the ocean, that was much more a parking lot view with the ocean in the background. Then, the hotel was advertising a kitchenette but they don’t provide any plates, cups, cookware etc…what’s the point of having an electric range if you can’t cook anything on it?

The property was in a very good location. Our loft style room had an ocean view and was within walking distance to the beach. However, we had an ant infestation that was not adequately taken care of when reported to staff. After our first night, we discovered there were ants crawling all over the sink in the small kitchenette area and near the window. We reported the issue to front desk staff right away and was told they would be sending someone to look at it. Noone came for three hours, and as we were leaving to go get breakfast, I decided to stop by the front desk to alert them of situation again. I had taken some pictures and videos to show them that not only did we find ants around the kitchenette area, but there were ants on one of the beds as well. The gentleman in the front acted like it was a normal occurrence because he stated the ants would come from the sand especially if you leave food out. Definitely not the response I was expecting but since the maintenance guy was right there in the lobby and reassured us that he would be taking care of the ants' problem by the time we got back from breakfast, we left. When we got back to the room, they had gotten rid of most of the ants and taken out the trash. The next morning, we found ants all over the counter again and inside all of the snacks we have stored in the closed cabinets. We checked out early and reported the ant infestation and complained about the spoiled food. Management still has not reached out as promised.

My family and I spent 5 nights at Ocean Mist South Yarmouth in Sept. The view from our room was great as was the service and the staff. Everyone we spoke to was helpful and friendly. You can’t beat the location and the private beach. We thoroughly enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. There were a couple of things in our room that we feel need mentioning. Not things that you should find in a 3 or 4 star hotel. The toilet wasn’t seated properly so it wobbled which made it uncomfortable to use. Someone obviously attempted to fix the toilet because it had caulking along the base, but that didn’t work. Also, the toilet paper is in an awkward place. You need to twist backward in order to reach it. (Which is probably why the toilet is wobbly.) Just really not a good setup. We also found our mattress to be extremely uncomfortable. We kept rolling to the center of the bed and woke with back pain. My husband ended up sleeping on the the pull out couch in the loft because he was that uncomfortable. My adult children slept in the other bed, and did not have a problem. We did very much enjoy our stay but are hesitant to recommend to others or stay there again because of the bed situation. We did not mention this to the front desk because we were very happy with our view and location and did not want to go to the trouble to repack and change rooms. Very concerning is that we reached out to the hotel with our concerns and didn't receive a response.
