"phenomenal location—convenient & close to everything!! very clean room! I was initially worried about noise, but it was quiet and we got a great night’s sleep! the gathering areas were well-kept and a lot of fun—people of all ages havin fun :) the next morning, we had an amazing breakfast on site; we enjoyed some fantastic coffee near a firepit. perfect start to the day!! the front desk staff was incredible! they took great care of us as soon as we reserved our room—lots of helpful texts back & forth! we will absolutely stay at Basecamp again!!"

"It's sad to know another resort is selling out. LOVE this resort. Higher rates next year and soon it will be sold again. Soon South Lake Tahoe infact all of the lake will be only affordable to the rich clients. The resort and marina and dock next door sold for 64 million and reno at 27million"

"We stayed here as a family for four nights. The location is fantastic, the facilities are excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was okay—the fresh fruit bar was a standout, though the hot options were fairly average. Our room was very clean, though it had a few minor maintenance issues with the bathroom door and the wooden curtain cornice/valance. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I would definitely recommend it to other families!"

"The stay was calm and relaxing and the location was perfect, we were able to walk everywhere. As for the room, well we got a room with carpet and it was not very sanitary. We found shorts that did not belong to us next to the bed, someone’s underwear behind the toilet and the sink and bathroom looked like it was cleaned with a dirty rag. Found a lot of hair on the first day on the floor. Luckily I bring my own cleaning stuff to give it quick wipe down and disinfectant. The towels and blankets were clean. The room could use an upgrade as it was very outdated. Lots of dust, didn’t feel comfortable using the coffee machine. Since we were there for more days we thought it was nice to have a washer and dryer near our room, finding out it didn’t work. The cleanliness could use some work, next time I may consider staying elsewhere."

"The room was very clean and spacious. The little kitchen was well equipped and it was nice having a full-size refrigerator/freezer. The pool was also very nice to come back to after a day of hiking in Lake Tahoe. Would definitely stay here again, very family friendly resort."

"They had a great hot breakfast with eggs, potatoes, bacon, and more. Hot coffee was available throughout the day, which was a nice touch. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. The only thing that was a bit odd was the bathroom door. It’s a sliding-style door that doesn’t close completely, leaving fairly large gaps between the door and the walls. So, there isn’t much privacy when using the bathroom if someone else is in the room. Other than that, everything was excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay!"
