Basecamp was great for our needs. The hotel is literally across the street from the Lake Tahoe Amphitheater (@ Caesars Republic). Great location with easy walking access to a variety of restaurants and shopping. The onsite brewery was great with nightly live music and games. Parking is tight and limited don’t show up late there won’t be a spot. Parking also appeared very loosely enforced despite parking permits for the property. Overall a fun easy property. Rooms were clean and cool all equipped with AC.

This is our 2nd time staying here. It’s definitely not a fancy hotel with a bunch of amenities. It’s the basic room that is comfortable and for the most part clean. The carpet could be a deal breaker. Wound be much better with tile floors. It is definitely convenient for entertainment at the lake. The coffee shop is nice. The grounds are a laid back vibe with a small bar.

phenomenal location—convenient & close to everything!! very clean room! I was initially worried about noise, but it was quiet and we got a great night’s sleep! the gathering areas were well-kept and a lot of fun—people of all ages havin fun :) the next morning, we had an amazing breakfast on site; we enjoyed some fantastic coffee near a firepit. perfect start to the day!! the front desk staff was incredible! they took great care of us as soon as we reserved our room—lots of helpful texts back & forth! we will absolutely stay at Basecamp again!!

We loved our stay at Basecamp. The room was small but had everything we needed. The bed was SO comfortable, I even took a picture of the label so I can get one for home! The location of Basecamp is perfect, it’s walking distance to the private beach (which you get a discount voucher for) and Heavenly Village where there’s an abundance of shops and restaurants. The only issue we had was there was nowhere to sit out - we bought some drinks from Target and sat out in the courtyard area only to be aggressively told to leave by the bar owner (honest mistake, we thought it was part of the hotel). We apologised and explained that we didn’t know and were still met with hostility. We didn’t go back but we would’ve happily paid for a drink had he explained nicely.

The AC unit they provided was really loud. The carpet in the room was extremely dirty. I walked barefoot for a few minutes and the bottom of my feet were completely dirty. The shower was really small. One good thing: staff were very nice.
