Golden nugget formally planet hollywood isthe best choice among the 4 bigger casinos on the south shore. We have stayed at all of them. The room was good size , clean, and had a comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was small and the shower Its currently going through many renovations but the upgrades that they have made are great. They have added Bill's sports book and Maestros steak house. The hot water for showering was hit or miss

We arrived at Golden Nugget because we could not get through Hwy 50. Staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were so nice and helpful! Hotel is goinjg through renovations but did not hinder and of our stay.

definitely clean rooms. staff was friendly breakfast a little hard to find. casino is good. elevators had a hard time working long way from the casino in the sunset Tower. awesome balcony, the only thing was I thought we were getting the AAA and the AARP discount but obviously they did not catch on to that. as we we listed with Expedia, I'm not sure that they mentioned it overall good

The room key cards repeatedly failed. The hotel was undergoing remodeling and construction, but this was not disclosed at the time of booking. Only one elevator was operational during our stay. Housekeeping did not make the beds or replace towels. Most of the hotel staff, however, were friendly and courteous. The casino did not seem to have as many winners as other casinos.

It was a great location. Nice to be close to hiking trails and the beautiful lake. Nice to have casino and live music in the evening. I was there during the week and a lot of construction going on. By the weekend they had cleared it up. The tower we were in had a weird air conditioning system. So we had trouble figuring it out so it was pretty hot in the room. They did offer a fan. Also no WiFi access on the floor we were on. Had to go to the lobby. Luckily we were out and about most of the day.

Air conditioning didn’t work, they were in the middle of construction. Staff were excellent! We didn’t win and didn’t see anyone win anything during our stay. The oyster bar was sooooo delicious!
