Interesting building! Room was as described. Is very handy to Mt Panorama racing circuit.

Was unable to access any wifi and no staff were available to assist.

Great quite place to stay

On arrival no staff present
had to ring a number on the door and was given a code to insert in a safe and a room key dropped out.
After about 20 minutes of serchin for the room i opened the room and was a bad odor; the place is extremely old and reading about its sinister story did not feel confortable in remaining so booked another hotel.
When complaining to the booking company apparently they contacted the hotel only to been told that no refund will be issued as we did not compain at reception .
They advertise that reception is manned 24/7 and is not true even next morning when dropped key to complain no one was there.
Someone should really inspect the property because is not what is advertised

Love older properties with history. Beds were comfy, large bathroom, convenient location and affordable.

I love the place, it is old and has character. I stayed at the right wing of the building and not the main building so I had wide space and quiet whilst studying. I love that I had my own toilet and bathroom, which can really use an upgrade as the fistures were okd and basic. Im was creeped out and sleepless the first night because the light was flicking on and off and I had no lamp in the room, so I turned on the TV to serve as a night light. So a lamp would be a good addition. Some parts of the place can be dusty too and particles could drop on the bed or table when someone is walking and the floors creek. But then again, the creepiness adds to the charm and character. The place smells good, the kitchen so clean.
